Education : Meaning
Etymologically the term ‘Education ’ is traced to different sources of derivation. According to one view Education has originated from the Latin word ‘ Educare ’ which means ‘ to bring up’ or ‘ to nourish ’.
There is another derivation from the Latin word ‘ educere ’ which means ‘ to lead out ’.Some maintain that the word education has been formulated from the word‘ educo’, in Latin ‘ E ’ means out of and ‘ duco ’ means to lead thus educo means to lead out of ignorance.
Education is a triangular process. It involves the inter - play of the educator, the educand and the social forces.

Education is life long process because every stage of life of an individual is important from educational point.

It is called a force for social development which brings improvement in every aspect of the society.
